Edible art at Blé
Τhe recently launched Swaddled Tsoureki has been already a success story at Blé in Thessaloniki.
Τα Φασκιωµένα Tσουρέκια παίρνουν σάρκα και ύφασµα στο Blé της Θεσσαλονίκης.
The avant-garde artist, Marios Teriade Eleftheriadis, has lately enriched the well-known boulangerie
with his innovative installations and is now suggesting a deeply human and equally
affectionate artistic approach. Top brand vintage fabrics are used to swaddle the
traditional Tsoureki of Blé, which is prepared by the hands of its master bakers who add
diligence and affection to their dough. Their special and very delicate mother yeast
combined with honey from the region of Halkidiki, adds to the Swaddled Tsοureki
a velvety and chewy texture. And just like that, this initiation into the world of Blé’s
Swaddled Tsοureki becomes art and food for thought, since this elegant Tsοureki is also
linked to charity. Donations of the sales of the Swaddled Tsοureki in Blé have been made
to buy swaddling blankets and baby clothes for the infants of the Municipal Nursery of
Agios Stylianos in Thessaloniki, as well as the SOS Children’s Villages. Blé, is continuing to
cover the needs of the organization Ilitominon which supports families of premature babies.
Η γνωστή μπουλανζερί, στην οποία ο αντισυμβατικός καλλιτέχνης, Mάριος Teriade
Ελευθεριάδης, παρεμβαίνει πρωτότυπα με τις εγκαταστάσεις του, με τα Φασκιωμένα
κάνει μια εικαστική πρόταση, βαθιά ανθρώπινη και ταυτόχρονα τρυφερή. Επώνυμα vintage
υφάσματα φασκιώνουν τα παραδοσιακά τσουρέκια του Blé, που ετοιμάζουν οι μάστορές
του με την ανάλογη επιμέλεια και στοργή. Το ειδικό και πολύ ευαίσθητο προζύμι τους σε
συνδυασμό με το μέλι Χαλκιδικής προσφέρουν στα Φασκιωμένα μια ζύμη με βελούδινη και
μαστιχωτή υφή. Κι έτσι απλά, στο Blé, αυτή η μύηση με τα Φασκιωμένα του Μάριου γίνεται
τέχνη αλλά και τροφή για σκέψη, γιατί τα κομψά αυτά τσουρέκια συνδέονται και με φιλανθρωπικό
σκοπό. Με τα έσοδα από τις πωλήσεις των Φασκιωμένων το Blé αγόρασε φασκιές και
προίκες μωρού για τα βρέφη του Δημοτικού Βρεφοκομείου Θεσσαλονίκης Άγιος Στυλιανός,
καθώς επίσης και των παιδικών χωριών SOS, και θα συνεχίσει να καλύψει τις ανάγκες της
οργάνωσης φροντίδας πρόωρων νεογνών Ηλιτόμηνον.
